Steeles Tapas Menu
Tapas means a “cover” or “lid,” giving us a clue to this
cuisine’s origins. Perhaps it was a glass of wine or sherry
being covered by a slice of bread, or maybe a saucer with
a slice of bread, ham, or a few olives on it to keep out the
dust or rain. This led to the bread being eaten, which led to
the bread being replaced with something more substantial
while providing a way for a bar owner to tempt customers
with the restaurant’s creations. Here at STEELES, Chef
Owner Beni Velazquez has taken this idea to an entirely
different level. TAPEO- “The Art of Tapas”- as it is called,
can vary from UNA TAPA (small single serving) to UNA
RACIÓN (perfect for four) or to a MEDIA RACIÓN (a half
portion that serves two). We invite you to have a glass of
wine, sherry, or cold beer with your tapas before your meal
and enjoy the unique creations here at STEELES with a
good friend - or make new ones.
