Godiva Chef Chocolatier Jody Klocko
Jody Klocko is Chef Chocolatier at Godiva, where he approaches the fine art of Belgian-style chocolate making with a pastry chef's discipline. Klocko works alongside Godiva's Master Chocolatier in creating new products that are innovative and intriguing in terms of ingredients, flavor, texture and craftsmanship.
With production facilities in Belgium and the U.S., Godiva Chocolatier is recognized around the world as the leader in fine chocolates. From its famous truffles and shell-molded chocolate pieces to its European-style biscuits, gourmet coffees, and hot cocoa, Godiva is dedicated to nearly 80 years of excellence and innovation in the Belgian tradition.
Klocko, Godiva's Chef Chocolatier who was recently named as one of the "10 Best Pastry Chefs in America" by Chocolatier and Pastry Art & Design magazines, has developed a new collection of Limited Edition Truffles inspired by ingredients, recipes and cultures from faraway places. From Africa to the West Indies, and Cuba to Latin America, Chef Klocko has incorporated epicurean influences from different locales into his newest chocolate creations.
Prior to joining Godiva in 2001, Chef Klocko was Executive Pastry Chef at the five-diamond Hilton Hotel at Short Hills in N.J.. Before the Hilton Hotel, he headed the famed pastry kitchen of The Ritz Carlton in Aspen. Jody has been widely recognized for his culinary accomplishments. As a member of the 2001 U.S. Pastry Team, he won a gold medal at the prestigious Coupe de Monde World Pastry Cup in Lyon, France.
