Gallagher, a former Zeigfold Follies Dancer,
decided to open "Gallagher's Steakhouse" in 1927 in Manhattan
during the height of Prohibition as a "Speakeasy" that served
steaks.
When Prohibition was repealed it became a "Steakhouse" that
served alcohol. Times have certainly changed but Gallagher's continues the tradition of the almost lost art of "Dry Aging" prime
beef for a steak unparalleled in taste and texture. Come join us and see for yourself what dry aging and cooking over a hickory flame do to a steak, and to your taste buds.
